A Brief History of Faith Bible Fellowship
Faith Bible Fellowship is the third church that Faith Bible Church
(www.fbccincy.org) has helped to start in the past five years. Our sister
churches are Faith Bible Church in Bagalur, India and Faith Bible
Church in Vidin, Bulgaria.
In September, 2005 the Elders of Faith Bible Church prayerfully
committed to planting a new church in south-west Ohio. Through months
of prayer and study, these men identified Central Warren County as a
strategic area with the need for a solid Bible church with a strong
commitment to the exegetical preaching and teaching of God’s Word, to
world missions and to multi-generational ministry.
In January 2006, Faith Bible Fellowship was born. Six families from
FBC committed to becoming part of the Core Leadership Team of FBF
and began to meet regularly for prayer and planning. Throughout the
spring, other families, both from FBC and the community around Lebanon
committed to being part of the group of Core Families who brought life,
vision and direction to the new church.
From June to August we met regularly in Lebanon for the purposes of
corporate worship, Bible study, building new friendships with each other,
and sharing Christ’s love in the community. Starting on September 17th,
these families began to meet in Lebanon for weekly corporate worship and
on October 8th, 2006, Faith Bible Fellowship will officially “launch.”
Our prayer is that by the end of 2006, Faith Bible Fellowship will be a fully
established church and that we will already be seeing fruit as we labor to
make mature disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in Lebanon, central
Warren County, and around the world.
Our Name - Faith Bible Fellowship
Faith: The Bible clearly teaches that we are saved by grace through
faith alone (Eph 2:8-9), that it is impossible to please God without faith
(Heb 11:6), that the Christian life is a life of faith (2 Cor 5:7), and that the
only acceptable and proper object of our faith is the Lord Jesus Christ
(Acts 4:12).
Bible: We affirm that the Bible is God’s true and reliable revelation of
Himself, His purposes and His will for mankind, both individually and
corporately. The Bible is fully sufficient for all matters of life and godliness
through our knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Pet 1:3-4) and is the primary
focus of our ministries.
Fellowship: We are a voluntary fellowship of disciples of Jesus Christ.
We are bound by our common love, faith and purpose. We are members of
Christ’s body and bride, the church universal (Eph 5:22-32).
